2021 ACS"R" Day - Live Webinar Presented by Kym Martell

Tuesday, April 6, 2021

Description

9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Section I – Technical Review - Employment Practices Liability (EPL) claims on the rise!
Our agenda starts with tackling some of the EPL issues and challenges business faces today and offering possible insurance and risk management solutions.  Discussion will include identifying the exposures created by law and in the workplace.  We will focus on the limitations and exclusions commonly found in commercial lines coverage forms, risk management alternatives and specific EPL coverage available in the marketplace.

Section II – Technical Review - Trends and Changes to the Personal Automobile Insurance Coverage
Personal Auto Coverage is an important coverage needed by individuals and families.  There are a variety of personal automobile coverages available and many insurers have adopted the use of manuscript or company specific coverage forms.  Our discussion will include a review of current changes to the 2018 Personal Auto Policy (PAP) coverage forms and some of the new or amended endorsements available.

Section III – Professional Development - Ethics and the Insurance Professional
We are going to finish the day with a discussion of Ethics and the Insurance Professional.

We will look at some terms and definitions regarding ethical conduct and behaviors that may create potential E&O claims.  We will discuss agent and professional responsibilities regarding agency contracts, authority, and duties as both an agent to the company and agent to third parties.  Discussion includes techniques to defend, prevent or reduce errors and omission claims.
