Due to the Covid-19 pandemic this seminar will be offered as a webinar rather than a classroom course. The cost has been reduced from the original classroom pricing.
Section I Technical Review- This year’s line up is a variety of personal lines topics. We will start with a discussion on “Tiny Houses”. May people are choosing to free themselves from a “brick and mortar” existence and want the freedom to move their home to accommodate their lifestyle. How do we assist our clients to provide the proper coverage? Many clients are also using “Smart Home” technologies which presents opportunity and some insurance challenges. Let’s not forget about some of the newly available endorsements and coverage options in a variety of coverage areas. We will discuss risk management alternatives and coverage options to available.
Section II- Technical Review -Workers Compensation coverage can be a very expensive and necessary coverage for employers. We will review the coverages provided under a workers’ compensation policy, discuss some of the pending legislation which can change the status of “who is considered an employee” as well as some additional types of claims covered; dual party and action over claims.
Section III – Technical Review – We will finish the day on a High Note! Cannabis/Marijuana – Emerging Trends and Insurance Issues relating to ever evolving Cannabis Industry. We will take a look at some of the legal and legislative challenges and explore coverage exclusions, gaps and potential coverage to address both personal and business exposures.
