Working from Home- Opportunities and Insurance Solutions- An Overview

The world is changing rand the commercial marketplace is evolving as well to accommodate remote workers or those who have decided it is time to work for themselves.   We will look at the advantages and disadvantages from the insurance perspective in trying to provide a comprehensive insurance program for the in- home business clients, their exposures to liability and providing insurance solutions.

Understanding the Affluent Market 
Personal lines client’s come in all shapes and sizes!  Managing the emerging risks of our clients has become far more complex. Today, we are going to take an in-depth look into the affluent/high-net-worth marketplace and the challenges posed by the unique exposures and lifestyles. We will discuss some of the most frequently overlooked coverage gaps, as well as the underwriting and risk management strategies agents can offer to provide outstanding service to this community.

Section II – Technical Review
Liability Risk Transfer

Commercial lines clients often assume or transfer a liability following business contracts and require additional coverage. Using risk management tools and techniques, attendees will discuss some of the common risk transfer clauses including Hold Harmless, indemnity agreements, waivers of subrogation as other clauses. Discussion will include a review of the commercial general liability policy coverage (CGL) gaps and exclusions will be discussed and some additional insured endorsements to help control these exposures and minimize potential liability.
