In The Aftermath of the Storm: An Agent's Perspective

Tuesday, June 8, 2021

Description

8:00 AM - 10:00 AM

When disaster strikes - whether it be a hurricane, earthquake, tornado, fire, or flood - will your agency be ready to deal with the aftermath? Your clients are counting on you to do just that, and you owe it to them to be as prepared as possible.

In October 2016, Hurricane Matthew devastated Lumberton, North Carolina with record setting rainfall and subsequent flooding, the likes of which the town had never seen before.  Danny Cook, an agent for more than 20 years, will share his experiences of life after the disaster and how you can better prepare your agency when it happens to your town.

During this session, you will learn:

  • What your agency can expect after disaster rolls out of town leaving a wake of destruction behind
  • How to deal with flood claims
  • Other important things an agent should know like helpful endorsements and common misconceptions, and
  • If your agency is truly ready for the next disaster
