Crime Coverages, What The ISO Forms Do, and Do Not, Provide

Friday, August 21, 2026 (3:00 PM - 6:15 PM) (EDT)

Description

This three-hour continuing education course provides a detailed and practical review of ISO Commercial Crime Coverage Forms, focusing on what they cover-and just as importantly-what they do not. Crime insurance is often misunderstood by both insurance professionals and policyholders, particularly because many assume theft and dishonesty are fully covered under standard property policies. This course explains why that assumption can be costly. Participants will examine the differences between the Loss Sustained Form (CR 00 21) and the Discovery Form (CR 00 20), review key definitions and coverage triggers, analyze the eight insuring agreements, and explore important endorsements that can broaden or restrict coverage. By the end of the session, attendees will have a clearer understanding of how crime policies function within a package policy and how to properly evaluate coverage gaps and exposures.
