CRIS Part 2- Contractual Risk Transfer in Construction — This course provides a general overview of contractual risk transfer in construction contracts and subcontracts, with specific attention to those provisions that present risk and insurance implications for contractors. Reviews the structure of construction contracting relationships and the key provisions in which responsibilities and liabilities are allocated to the contracting parties, and suggests methods to equitably allocate these liabilities.   

Online Testing
Those students seeking the CRIS designation must take and pass an online test after taking each class. The test is available when the student is ready, allowing additional study time after the course. Those students not seeking the designation are NOT required to test.

Reaccreditation Requirement
Once you earn the right to use the CRIS certification you must engage in an ongoing continuing education process to maintain it. Completing the core curriculum qualifies an individual to use the CRIS certification for 12 months.  To maintain the certification, the CRIS certification holder must complete only 6 hours of CRIS CE credits every 12 months. You may obtain this CE credit by attending approved CRIS courses or conferences or completing online CRIS courses.
