Executive Liability: An Overview and Key IssuesMonday, November 30, 2026 (5:00 PM - 7:30 PM) (EST)DescriptionThis course provides an overview of Management Liability coverages, focusing on Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, and Employee Benefits Liability. Although these are distinct coverages, they share a common purpose: protecting directors, officers, managers, and organizations from claims arising out of governance, management decisions, financial oversight, and employee benefit administration. The session explains the duties owed by corporate leaders, including fiduciary responsibilities such as loyalty, due care, obedience, and good faith, and examines how management liability policies respond to allegations such as breach of duty, regulatory violations, employment-related claims, and errors in benefits administration. Participants will also review key policy provisions, including insuring agreements, definitions of claims, wrongful acts and losses, coverage structures, and common exclusions. Through examples and discussion, the course helps insurance professionals better understand the exposures facing organizational leadership and how management liability insurance policies are designed to address those risks.
